Vertical Line Test

Definition

The Vertical Line Test is what I would call the name for the visually intuitive process of determining whether a graph represents a function.

Given a particular graph that illustrates the mapping of range to codomain of a function test that a vertical line anywhere in the graph only intersects with the graph one time at most.

Obviously this can only be visually applied within the limits of human abilities to visualize.
